We rent the same kind of over bed table and trapeze for hospital beds that are used in health care facilities and residential settings. Over bed tables have special features such as adjustable table height to insure the comfort of the user, and are designed for people who need special care. Trapezes are used to allow patients to reposition themselves in the bed. These trapezes accommodate most peoples\' sizes and weights, but they are not designed to support anyone's entire body weight.

What to Consider When Renting an Over Bed Table from Homepro Medical

• Over bed tables have following features:
  1. The height of the table can be raised and lowered.
  2. The angle of the table may be adjusted on some models.
  3. There are two sets of casters at the bottom of the table for easy maneuvering. There are brakes on casters to prevent table being moved while using it.
• Over bed tables have a weight limit of 100 lbs and are not designed for sitting or putting heavy bags on the table.

What to Consider When Renting a Trapeze from Homepro Medical

• Trapezes are attached to the headboard of the hospital bed to assist with patients\' positioning while in bed.
• Trapezes have a weight limit of 250 lbs. and are not designed to support a patient's full weight.
• A Trapeze should never be used as an assist device when transferring into or out of a bed.
• Free-standing bariatric trapezes are also available at additional charges. They can be used on a regular or bariatric bed. Please specify your preference when you order.

1. What is an over bed table?

   An over bed table is a table attached to hospital bed to be used as table for bed-bounded patients. Most over bed tables can adjust table height and come with wheels for maneuvering. Some models also featuring adjustable table angle on table top.

2. What is a trapeze?

   A trapeze is a device attached to the head section of the hospital bed. Trapeze is to provide support patient for repositioning oneself in the bed. Trapeze is not designed to support full patient's body weight and trapeze is not meant to use for transferring patient into or out of the bed.

3. Will Medicare or my insurance pay for my bed accessories rental?

   We will not bill or coordinate benefits for short-term rentals, but if your insurance does cover these services, we can provide any information needed to help you file your claim.

4. Will I be charged sales tax?

   Over bed tables are taxable, whereas trapezes are tax exempted. However, delivery fees are always subject to tax in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

5. What if something goes wrong with my bed accessories?

   Homepro Medical checks and tests all bed accessory rentals before they go out. We are confident that you won't have any problems, but if you do, we will repair bed accessories at no cost within 24 hours.

6. What if I want to return my bed accessories before the rental is up?

   We bill in monthly increments, and will only bill for the actual length of the rental. If you choose to return the bed accessories prior to the anticipated pickup date, you will only be billed for the rental period.

7. What if I want to purchase my bed accessories?

   Homepro Medical also sells new and used Invacare and Drive Medical bed accessories. Sometimes Homepro will arrange for a rent to purchase option on long term rentals. We always offer free delivery on purchases over $100.
