The Air Mattress Systems that we provide are being used in Healthcare facilities and in Residential settings. Our mattresses use Alternating Pressure, Lateral Rotation, and Low Air Loss therapy to supplement the need for a person to be frequently repositioned. What to Consider When Choosing Your Air Mattress?

• Our Medical Air Mattresses come with the following features (frequently combined in one mattress):
  • Alternating Pressure Therapy: Continuosly inflates and deflates alternating bladders in order to reduce pressure and increase circulation.
  • Lateral Rotation Therapy: The mattress uses the air pressure from a compressor to rotate/turn the user comfortably from side to side in order to constantly change pressure points and improve circulation.
  • True Low Air Loss: Uses a compressor to force a high capacity of air into the cells of the mattress. The cells have microscopic holes that release the air in order to keep the skin cool and maintain low moisture levels.
  • Low Air Loss: Uses a the alternating pressure pump air to release air into the perimeter and main mattress surface to keep the user cool and dry.
  • Pulsation Therapy: Uses the compressor to send pulses of air to quickly inflate and then slowly release air to help with blood circulation.
• You will need to consider the individual's risk for pressure wounds and circulation issues. Does the user have a history of pressure wounds? Do they currently have multiple Stage I or Stage II wounds? Do they have Stage III or Stage IV wounds? These questions will determine if an air mattress is best for you or your loved one, and which air mattress therapies will provide the greatest benefit.

Proactive Medical's Protekt Aire 6000 Low Air Loss Mattress/Alternating Pressure System (80060) - 36″ Width, 350 lbs. Weight Capacity: Our most affordable option. This medical air mattress uses alternating pressure and is designed to be used for the treatment, prevention, or management of pressure sores. It has an additional layer of cells to prevent bottoming out and has variable cycle times.

Proactive Medical's Protekt Aire 8000BA Alternating Pressure Bariatric Mattress System (80080) - 42″ Width, 650 lbs. Weight Capacity: The Protekt Aire 8000BA medical air mattress helps to treat and prevent pressure ulcers for heavier patients. Primarily an alternating pressure mattress it also has a low air loss function and a cell-on-cell mattress design. One can also program the alternating pressure cycle options of 10, 15, 20, or 25 minutes.

Span America's PressureGuard APM2 Mattress System (29945): This support surface features a unique technology for positioning and adjusting the air pressure. The mattress can be set to either alternate the pressure or to rotate the lateral position of the user. (This option is not available in the 42" Wide model (AP8042-29).) The mattress also has an extra layer of foam between the user and the air channels for additional comfort. The mattress is ideal for individuals with significant skin breakdown and who are unable or often forget to reposition themselves regularly.

Proactive Medical Protekt Aire 9900 True Low Air Loss System with Alternating Pressure and Pulsation (81090-36): This is a True Low Air Loss Mattress system with a 1275 lpm compressor releasing air to help manage body temperature and moisture. The Pulsation feature sends bursts of air to quickly inflate the mattress and slowly lower the air pressure in measured cycles. Alternately it is a classic alternating pressure mattress inflating and deflating cells to reduce pressure buildup in any one location. Comfort levels are based on the user's weight and the 42" Wide mattress has a weight capacity of 1000 lbs . It has a sophisticated microprocessor that is constantly evaluating the pressure levels of the mattress and making the necessary adjustments.

Invacare's microAIR MA900 (MA900): This is a True Low Air Loss Mattress with Lateral Rotation and Alternating Pressure. It is among the most advanced pressure reducing mattresses on the market today. It features a 1275 LPM Blower for moisture management and true low air loss. The user friendly features allow the user to customize 1) the lateral rotation angle; 2) the alternating pressure cycles; and 3) adjust the overall air pressure. The MA900 is ideal for situations where maceration and moisture management are an issue and is recommended for those with extremely poor circulation, and those that need to be rotated or repositioned frequently.

1. What is a Medical Air Mattress?

   A Medical Air Mattress is a therapeutic mattress that uses air pressure delivered through an electric pump. The powerful pump pushes air into the mattress at different levels in order to keep pressure off of the user's delicate skin. These aire mattress replacement systems are used in place of foam or innerspring mattress.

2. Will Medicare or my insurance pay for my air mattress rental?

   We will not bill or coordinate benefits for your short-term rentals, but if your insurance does cover these services, we can provide any information needed to help you file your claim.

3. Will I be charged sales tax?

   Air Mattresses are not taxed, but delivery fees are subject to tax in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

4. What if something goes wrong with my air mattress?

   Homepro Medical checks and tests all air mattresses before they go out. We are confident that you won't have any problems, but if you do, we will repair the mattress at no cost as soon as possible.

5. What if there is a power failure?

   Although our Air Mattresses are powered by electricity, they all come equipped with a safety feature to protect against a power failure. The pump will shut off and the mattress will be sealed so that no air escapes. This means that the user will always have an air-filled mattress. There is also an audible alarm feature that will notify the caregiver of the power issue.

6. What if I want to return my mattress before the rental is up?

   Please give us a call and we will work with you to schedule the return of your rental item. Once the item is returned to our office, we will end your rental and will not bill you any further.

7. What if I want to purchase my air mattress?

   We also have new mattresses available for purchase. We are able to consider a rent-to-purchase option on long term rentals, but please call the office for those details. Generally we can apply to the cost of the initial rental period against the purchase price. We are also offering free curbside delivery on purchases over $100, set-up not included.

• There is a 40% cancellation fee for a confirmed rental reservation made less than 72 hours prior to delivery.
• There is no refund (100% cancellation fee) for a confirmed rental reservation made on the day of delivery.
• All of our medical air mattresses are sanitized, cleaned, and checked for bed bugs before they go out.
